Spiritual counseling or life coaching is sometimes the most effective way to begin to blossom. I believe people come to counseling or life coaching because something isn't working for them. They need someone to listen to their story, hear the deeper meanings and make meaningful connections for them. They may be depressed over a relationship, experiencing a loss of self esteem, mourning a loved one, seeking a deeper meaning in life, or becoming aware of a past trauma. Sharing their concerns with an experienced therapist can help connect past history to present allowing one to gain meaningful insights into your life. Counseling provides a place to share, unburden and grow toward the fulfillment you long for.

Similarly, life coaching is ideal if you have reached a plateau and need assistance in discerning how to achieve your goals. We often benefit from working with someone who supports & motivates us, and holds us entirely accountable to achieving the vision we set for ourself. Whatever it is that you want in your life, whether it is a better job, better relationships, or even organizational skills, a life coach can help you get it.

The slow and comfortable establishment of mutual trust will come first as we work to fully understand your unique personality and situation. Together we will explore the source(s) of pain or struggle in your life and identify practical, workable solutions, and setting achievable goals You and I will work as a team to find the root of what holds you back and weighs you down. I will give you skilled, gentle guidance in changing while providing the support you need as you begin to feel better about yourself and your life. I'm a fairly active coach...you won't be left talking to a "blank wall".

My specialty is working with young adults (20's-30's) and adults, particularly within the LGBTQ community. My clients tend to be people who are either feeling stuck in some aspect of their lives or who are not living up to their fullest potential. My goal is to help them tap into their strengths and empower them to thrive. For many years I have been involved with the LGBTQ community both personally and as the a chaplain and Ecumenical Catholic priest.

As a seasoned counselor and member of the clergy, I am interested in exploring gender and sexuality. I want to provide a safe space to explore all your concerns. I have also spent many years as a military and police chaplain so understand the special needs of that community and those who have been victimized by crime or other loss.
